On Friday, November 16, 2007, by a vote of 50–34 (2 abstentions), the 86-member governing synod of Norway's state Lutheran church, meeting in Lillehammer, changed the previous prohibitive policy and will allow those living in homosexual partnerships to serve in the clergy, but it will be up to each bishop to decide whether to employ them.

The Unitarian Church of Evanston (UCE) recently hosted an RIC training for LC/NA in the Chicago area. Their volunteers wore beautiful hand knit scarves to designate for us who they were. In discussions over the weekend, this effective visual imagery came into the discussion and the end result was the church's knitting and crocheting group, Common Threads, volunteered to make as many of these scarves as we needed for the Churchwide Assembly.
