We begin gathering at St Paul Lutheran at 12:00 noon on Friday, April 16. The training begins at 1:00 pm on Friday and ends at 3:00 pm on Sunday, April 18.

Participants are responsible for reserving their hotel rooms. We recommend the following hotel near the church:

When making reservations, guests should identify themselves as part of the RIC/Building an Inclusive Church and have a credit card ready to guarantee the reservation. We accept all credit cards. All reservation requests must be received by the Reservation Deadline of March 16, 2010.

Meals will be nutritious and tasty. Please note dietary restrictions on your registration form.

Fees

Registration, including meals and materials: $85.00

Scholarship ($85.00) available upon request to cover registration with hosted housing if necessary. Travel is on your own or up to local hosts. Written information of need should accompany registration via email to RossM@lcna.org or postal mail to LC/NA, PO Box 4707, Saint Paul, MN 55104.

Donations for sponsorship of a scholarship ($85.00) or portion thereof ($10.00–$75.00) for this or another Welcoming Church Program Training will be gladly accepted. Please mark on registration form.

Recommended Reading

Each participant is requested to obtain and read a copy of Doing Justice: Congregations and Community Organizing by Dennis A Jacobsen. This book, available online for about $14 from Amazon, will enable you to understand more quickly the organizing concepts used in the training.
